Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA)は、ECDISに関するMarine Notice 15/2010及び7/2012を発行していましたが、それらに換えてMarine Notice 11/2012を発行しました。

「5.2 Familiarisation training」には、"The requirement for familiarisation is further recognised under the provisions of section 6.3 and 6.5 of the ISM Code"が有り、「7.Port State Control inspections」には、次の要求が含まれています。
･documented procedures for using ECDIS
･listing of ECDIS as critical equipment in the ship's Safety Management System
･evidence of periodic tests and checks of the ECDIS equipment that need to be carried out in accordance with the ship's Safety Management System
