The requirement for the maintenance of falls used in launching appliances for Singapore flagged vessels has been notified by IMO SLS.14/Circular.335 as per attached.


Abstract:
Although the renewal interval of boat falls is to be not more than 5 years in accordance with SOLAS Reg.III/20.4 (Refer to ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-0740), the interval may be extended to not more than 10 years subject to annual thorough inspection.
We have confirmed that "Marine grade stainless steel" is Type 316 Stainless Steel Alloy.
