Periodic servicing of launching appliances for Cyprus flagged ships
The Cyprus government has notified of periodic servicing of launching appliances by Circular No.4/2005.
Instead of the dynamic test in Reg. 20.11.1.3 of Chapter III of 96 Amendments to 74 SOLAS, a static load test with not less than 1.1 times the maximum working load (fully loaded and equipped survival craft) is applied to the winch brakes of launching appliances of ships constructed before 1st July 1986.
This ClassNK Technical Information supersedes the previous ClassNK Technical Information No. TEC-0447 dated 1 April 2002.
