Please note that we have been advised by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore that the following IMO resolutions and circular apply to fire control plans for Singapore flag vessels:

1. Resolution A.654 (16)
Symbols on fire control plans must be the same shapes and colors as shown in Resolution A.654 (16).

2. MSC/Circ. 451
The location of, and the signage to, fire control plans for the assistance of shore side fire-fighting personnel, should comply with MSC/Circ. 451.

3. Resolution A. 756 (18)
Fire control plans for vessels carrying more than 36 passengers must meet the requirements of Resolution A.756 (18) in addition to the above.

Resolution A.654 (16), however, is being reviewed by the IMO for amendment (the amendment is expected to be adopted in a couple of years), and the MPA has advised that application of the resolution to plans on board existing vessels may be postponed until the amendment is finalized (as advised in the attached MPA document).
