This is informing you of the following requirements of Panama Maritime Authority for performance standards for Radar. It is sincerely recommended that appropriate arrangements should be made for Radar referred to ensure compliance with the performance standards.


- Radar to be installed on Panamanian ships on or after 1 May 2000 should be complied with the performance standards in the Annex 4 to MSC.64(67) adopted by IMO MSC on 4 December 1996.

- Radar complying with the performance standards of the previous recommendation may be installed on board only if the order for the equipment was placed prior to 1 January 2000 and the equipment has already been manufactured.
