Compliance with the EU Ship Recycling Regulation - For Panamanian flagged vessels

ClassNK Technical Information, TEC-1210, which contains guidance on ships of Panamanian registry on compliance with the EU Ship Recycling Regulation, was updated.

Associated with the update, the existing TEC-1210 was superseded.

Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) published Merchant Marine Circular MMC-386 regarding IHM for ships calling at EU ports. According to this circular, for Panamanian ships, the full-term Statement of Compliance (SOC) to demonstrate compliance with the Hong Kong Convention and Article 12 of the EU-SRR will be issued by PMA, after receiving the following documents from Shipowners, etc. as proof of survey through the electronic system.

Required documents as per item 6.5 of MMC-386:
6.5.1. Interim SOC issued by the Recognized Organization,
6.5.2. Part I of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials,
6.5.3. Survey Report,
6.5.4. Cargo Ship Safety Construction Certificate (full-term) or International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate (full-term)
6.5.5. Safety Management Certificate (SMC),
6.5.6. Payment receipt
