Greek Government has notified of Fire fighter's communication for vessels flying the Greek flag by "Implementation of the provisions of Regulation II-2, Part C/10.10.4 of the SOLAS Convention relating to Fire Fighters' Communication" (Ref. No. 2322.1/52275/2018) as follows. 1. The fire fighter radios shall be carried on board in addition to any other two-way radiotelephone apparatus that is available on board, as per the requirements of the SOLAS Convention. 2. Major revised points are as follows: 1. The Administration may grant partial or conditional exemptions from the requirements of Regulations IV/7 to IV/11 according to Regulation IV/3 of the1988 Amendments of 1974 SOLAS Convention. The Government of the Hellenic Republic has notified the Society of the conditions for exemption from the requirements of GMDSS for Greek flag GMDSS ships engaged on voyages solely in the Mediterranean and Black Sea, which are reproduced as follows. 1. According to IMO Circular "GMDSS Master Plan", sea areas A2 in the Mediterranean and Black Sea are designated around the Hellenic Republic and only in some other parts. The Greek Government issued a circular 1421ГNГ23/50/98 entitled "Loading, Unloading and carriage of Bulk Cargoes by Ships". Annex 2. Shows its provisional translation into English.
