As already advised in ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-0860 dated 8 August 2011, TEC-0861 dated on 11 August 2011, ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-0887 dated 6 January 2012 and ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-0890 dated 10 February 2012 in relation to each flag states' instruction for Unified Interpretation regarding the suction heads of fixed emergency fire pumps, the Administration of Vanuatu has newly advised the instruction as follows.

Instruction from the Administration of Vanuatu:
The Administration of Vanuatu authorizes ClassNK to use the IACS UI 178(rev.1) for ships with contract for construction made on or after 1 Jan 2013.

Upon receiving the reply/instruction from flag states other than the above, please be advised that ClassNK Technical information would be issued time to time.
