The Government of Panama notified the following instruction regarding extension of statutory certificates and the period of servicing of liferafts for Panama flagged ships. For the details of the instruction, please refer to the letter from the Government of Panama (JLO/11/09/001) as attached.

ClassNK had been authorized to extend Cargo Ship Safety Equipment (SE) Certificates, Cargo Ship Safety Radio (SR) Certificates and the period of servicing of liferafts for Panama flagged ships without a consultation with the Government. However, the Government of Panama advised that a previous approval for extension is required from the Government on case by case basis.
