Exemption from installation of immersion suits on cargo ships flying Malaysian Flag
For Malaysian ships other than bulk carriers, which are constantly engaged on voyages in warm climates between Latitude 30 degrees North and 30 degrees South may be exempted from the installation of immersion suits according to 32.3.2 Chapter III SOLAS.
Malaysian Government authorizes ClassNK to issue an exemption certificate from that regulation. For the issuance of this Exemption Certificate, an application for immersion suits exemption is requested to submit to the nearest ClassNK Office if the exemption is applied.
