Application of ILO Conventions to Crew Accommodations of Liberian Ships and Marshall Islands Ships

The Liberian Government and the Marshall Islands Government, informing the Society that ILO Conventions No. 92 and No. 133 have already been effective in these countries, have notified the Society of the instructions on the application of these Conventions to Liberian ships and Marshall Islands ships.

In accordance with the instructions of these Governments and upon request, the Society will conduct a survey of the crew accommodations of Liberian ships and Marshall Islands ships and issue a relative Certificate in the manner as specified below.

1. For the crew accommodations of ships to be built with the Liberian flag, or the Marshall Islands flag, and with NK class, the Society will apply the requirements of ILO Conventions No. 92 and No. 133, and, upon ascertaining full compliance with these requirements, issue a Certificate of Compliance with five year validity.
2. For the crew accommodations of Liberian ships, or Marshall Islands ships, in service and with NK class, the Society will apply the requirements of ILO Conventions No. 92 and No. 133, ascertain degree of compliance with these requirements, and issue a Certificate of Compliance of five year validity with the remarks of the items not complying with these requirements, if any.
