The Administration of Vanuatu has informed ClassNK that FLEET / SAFETY LETTER 2016-May-25 (SCHEDULE ON THE SERVICING OF LIFESAVING AND FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT), which is in reference to maintenance, inspection and test of Fire Fighting equipments and Lifesaving appliances on board the Vanuatu registered vessels.

[Purpose of this notice; FLEET / SAFETY LETTER 2016-May-25]
This notice summarizes and specifies the intervals for maintenance, testing and inspection of the fire protection systems and Lifesaving appliances.

Application of this notice;
1. This notice applies to all Vanuatu-flagged vessels.
2. Our surveyors will confirm that the maintenance and testing records are kept on board the vessel in accordance with this notice at every periodical survey for Safety Equipment.
