With reference to the carriage and testing of Iron Ore and Iron Ore Fines on the Marshall Islands flag vessels, Marshall Islands Government has notified ClassNK of carriage and testing of these bulk ores as below (Marine Notice No. 2-011-44).

DSC.1/Circ.71 which is the draft schedules and test procedure amendments to the IMSBC Code is to be implemented on all Marshall Islands flag vessels subject to the requirements of the IMSBC Code and involved in the carriage of Iron Ore or Iron Ore Fines as soon as possible.
